Governance Committees with Traceable Evidence
The committee does not decide in a Word document: it decides with evidence linked to the data.
Framework / standard: ISO/IEC 38505-1 (Authority) · ISO/IEC TR 38505-2 §5 · ISO/IEC 42001 §9.2/§9.3
A governance decision without evidence is an opinion with minutes. Linedat models the governance committee as a root entity with members, typed meetings and decisions linked to the data that supported them.
Typed meetings and decisions
Meetings are typed (regular, internal audit §9.2, management review §9.3, AI oversight, incident review) and decisions record their type, status, assignment and deadline. The "decide" phase of 38505-2 stops being an anecdote.
Immutable evidence linked to the data
Each decision can carry evidence: the assets consulted, the query hash, the AI session that assisted and the reasoned rationale. The evidence is immutable at the database level (a trigger rejects UPDATE); it can only be corrected by creating a new version that supersedes the previous one.
The limits (what we do not claim)
Committee decisions are auditable records, they are not executed automatically: a "policy change" decision does not modify the policy by itself; a person must apply it afterwards. The evidence records asset identities, not their results (no data leakage).
How Linedat helps
Linedat turns governance decisions into traceable, immutable evidence linked to the data — not minutes in a Word document that nobody can verify.
