AI as a governed subject, not as a feature
ISO/IEC 38507 guides leadership on the implications of using AI in the organisation. Linedat delivers it: every AI system inventoried, every call traced, PII redacted and generated content's origin signed.

What ISO/IEC 38507 guides
ISO/IEC 38507
ISO/IEC 38507:2022 provides guidance to the governing body on the implications of using artificial intelligence: data and privacy, transparency, accountability, risk and oversight. It is voluntary guidance, not a certifiable management system (that is ISO 42001).
The market treats AI as a productivity tool. The 38507 asks that it be treated as a subject to be governed. Linedat does exactly that: every AI action goes through policy, PII is sanitised and the action is logged, attributed to an inventoried system.
What governing AI use entails
38507 provides the guidance; Linedat delivers it through capabilities that govern AI in production.
AI as a subject of governance
Every AI system inventoried with its purpose, owner, lifecycle and risk class — the subject to which governance is anchored.
Data and privacy in AI use
PII is redacted on the critical path before it reaches the model, with the detected categories logged.
Transparency and traceability
Every AI call logged with a hash chain; the origin of each piece of generated content marked and signed off by a human.
Oversight and accountability
Bias detection with p-value, versioned model/dataset cards and an AI policy with operator/committee separation.
How Linedat covers it
38507 provides the guidance; Linedat delivers it through capabilities that govern AI in production.
AI System Inventory by Risk Class
The AI Act audits systems, not API calls. Every AI system inventoried with its risk class.

Before a national ID or an IBAN leaves for OpenAI, it is redacted — in the critical path, not as an option.

We do not store what you told the AI. We store that you can prove you said it.

When AI writes a description, the system knows AI wrote it — and does not publish it until a human signs off.

We do not tell you there is bias: we prove it, with a p-value.

Transparency is not an attached PDF: it is a versioned card with status.

Who turns on AI with confidential data is not the operator: it is the committee.
