An AIMS your ISO 42001 auditor will recognise
Documenting an AI management system is easy; demonstrating that you audit it and review it — the full PDCA cycle — is what gets certified. Linedat models that cycle as entities chained to the audit log.
Certifiable
What ISO/IEC 42001 requires
ISO/IEC 42001
ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is the first international certifiable standard for an AI Management System (AIMS). It follows the High-Level Structure (HLS) common to ISO management standards and is certified by auditing the management system, not the product itself.
The difference between "governed AI features" and a certifiable AIMS lies in the PDCA cycle: measurable objectives, competence and awareness, internal audit, management review and continual improvement with corrective actions — all demonstrable with evidence.
Key AIMS clauses
Linedat provides the certifiable skeleton and evidence for the PDCA cycle; the certificate is issued by your external auditor.
Objectives and planning (§6.2)
Measurable AIMS objectives with KPIs, baseline, target and accountable owner.
Competence and awareness (§7.2 / §7.3)
Having a policy is not enough: you must prove who read it. Training and acknowledgement recorded person by person.
Internal audit and management review (§9.2 / §9.3)
Internal audit with demonstrable impartiality, and management review based on frozen inputs.
Improvement: non-conformities and CAPA (§10.2)
Non-conformity register with effectiveness verification before closure — the 'act' pillar of PDCA.
How Linedat covers it
